Have you ever experienced that feeling where your heart is pounding, for whatever reason, and you feel a discord within you as you are wanting and trying to calm yourself down but having a hard time doing so? That’s what I was feeling when I created this painting. There’s lots of emotions bound up in it, all conveyed through the colours, marks, and texture I created on the canvas. Anxiety, doubt, tension, but mostly feeling triumphant and overwhelming joy and excitement in the end as I conquered my racing heart and found peace.
