One of my most favourite things to do is to watch thunderstorms come and go in the evening sky. It's something that my Dad and I did routinely when I was growing up, all the while sitting and chatting about nature and life. I love the colours of the sky and the clouds when the storms pass at sunset - that deep magenta glow on the clouds from the sun, the vivid purple of the heavy clouds, the rich cerulean blue of the late afternoon summer sky, watching it all unfold through aqua and pink-hued streaks of water as it flows down the window pane. Perfect fodder for a painting.
